My Recovery Journey After Shoulder Surgery

I tore the supraspinatus off the bone in my shoulder during a bench press exercise. This occurred due to an already weak and damaged tendon. The supraspinatus tendon can become damaged due to overuse, trauma, or degeneration over time. This type of injury can cause pain, weakness, and limited range of motion in the shoulder. Treatment for a torn supraspinatus may include physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, corticosteroid injections, or in severe cases, surgery. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan for a torn supraspinatus injury. In this case mine was a full width tear meaning that it was completely torn off the bone and required surgery to reattach the tendon.

This is week five of my recovery and my appearance after not being able to do much after surgery.
